The acceptance of any order from the customer is conditioned on the acceptance by the customer of all terms and conditions contained in the contract. Any modification of the terms and conditions must be in writing and accepted by the company. All proposals are valid for 30 days from date on proposal. Lead-time for products is 4 to 12 weeks.
Customer may cancel any order within 24 hours from the date on invoice to receive a full refund. Any order cancelled after 24 hours is subject to a 25% cancellation fee. If an order is cancelled after one week of placing the order, the restocking fee is 50% of the total invoice price, and customer may be subject to paying all shipping and handling fees. Due to the custom nature of our products once an order is complete the order must be paid in full and may not be cancelled under any circumstances.
All checks and/or payments for labor must be made payable to Hide A Door. A surcharge of $50 (or the maximum allowed by law) will be assessed on all returned checks. The customer agrees to pay all collection fees / legal fees / court cost should non-payment result in action to collect a debt.
All amendments to the scope of the work on this contract must be in writing, dated and signed by a company representative and the customer.
The terms of the Guarantee are shown below. The guarantee is for craftsmanship only and does not cover working parts. Working parts (hinges, locks, handles, etc....) are cover for 60 days. This contract and the guarantee are not transferable. The “date of the contract” is the date the proposal was signed and the terms of the agreement accepted by the customer. Prior to installation of the door or units check for defects, that the door or units are to the specifications on the contract, and/or quality of craftsmanship. The warranty is void once a door or unit is installed. Unless otherwise noted, the guarantee does not cover any work associated with work started by the customer and/or another contractor. The guarantee is invalidated if the customer, their agent or another contractor (other than Hide A Door) changes, modifies or repairs work associated with this contract. Customer must allow Hide A Door to correct workmanship. Any work done at no charge is not guaranteed. Changes to guarantee must be approved by the company and in writing.
Customer is solely responsible for inspecting crate prior to signing release form from Shipping Company. Upon inspection of crate, if said crate has visible damaged or Shock-Watch and/or Tip-N-Tell have been activated please call the sales office immediately prior to signing the release from the Shipping company. Shipping claims must be reported to Hide A Door with in 5 days of receipt of unit. Hide A Door will not be held liable, for any freight claims or unreported damage. Guarantee For one (1) year from the date of this contract, Hide A Door will repair free of charge, defects in workmanship performed pursuant to this contract. The contract becomes effective when your complete payment has been made and has been credited to your account. The guarantee is void if the unit has been installed or modified.
Guarantee services is available by simply contacting the Hide A Door office shown on your invoice. There are no other guarantees expressed or implied, and there is no other liability for consequential damages of any nature or kind. Guarantee is for craftsmanship, working parts only for 60 days.

Return & Exchange Since all of our doors are custom-built, doors are non-refundable and may not be exchange for another door or store credit. Shipping Our lead time is 4 to 12 weeks after a signed contract is received. Each contract will indicate lead times. We offer 3 different options for shipping non-local orders, Economy (3-5 business days), second day air, and next day air, shipping charges will vary depending on shipping service and will be indicated on your order form.
